1. What do we do with your information?

When you browse our site or use our application, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our products and other updates. You can unsubscribe from the email when/if received.

2. Consent

2.1 How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to sign-up for an account, complete a transaction, verify your credit card, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

4. Data storage

Our application and services are hosted and use Amazon services. Your data is stored on a secure server behind a firewall.

4.1 Payment
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our application and its credit card service provider, Stripe.

5. Third-party services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links within your data in Bridge24, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

6. Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

Bridge24 connects to Asana, Trello, and Basecamp through OAuth using their API through a secure SSL connection.

Bridge24 only stores your contact information for your Bridge24 account and settings, but not your data.

7. Age of consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state, province, or country of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state, province, or country of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

8. GDPR – Privacy information

Concerning your Personal Data:

8.1 What we need
We only collect basic personal data about you and include one special type of information or location-based information, specifically, your IP address. The basic personal information includes name, address, email when subscribing to our services, etc.

8.2 Why we need it
We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with notice writing and analysis services in line with this overall contract. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you. The IP address is stored in access logs to help in technical support cases.

8.3 What we do with it
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in Canada however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the United States. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. A 3rd party payment system, called Chargebee/Stripe, is used for credit card processing. Card details and name of account holder and address is stored by them.

We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

8.4 How long we keep it
We keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a reasonable minimum time before it will be destroyed (usually 90 days after a canceled/closed account). Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information. History billing information is kept for accounting and tax purposes.

8.5 What we would also like to do with it
We would however like to use your name and email address to inform you of our future offers and similar products. This information is not shared for third purposes and you can unsubscribe at any time via email.

8.6 What are your rights?
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted in a reasonable timeframe. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Support Team who will investigate the matter.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
