Company Info

Trello was initially built in 2011 by Fog Creek Software. They then spun out as a separate firm in 2014, and was named Trello Inc.  In fact, the tool was released by Joel Spolsky, founder of Fog Creek, at a Tech Crunch event. It was featured in the September 2011 edition of Wired Magazine. Lifehacker once stated that the app makes project collaboration easy as well as enjoyable. Spolsky made his dog Taco the official spokes-husky of the company in the summer of 2012.  Eventually, they went international in May 2015, with localized experiences for countries like Spain, Germany, and many more.
