How to draw Dependencies
Asana users can easily set dependencies between two tasks in a few steps. On their project Timeline, the first step is to hover over the task they want to set the dependency for. Connector icons will appear on the task, one in front corner and another at the back corner. This is the task that others are dependent on, so they should click on the connector icon at the back corner, drag it to the next task that will be dependent on the first task. This completes the dependency between the two tasks. The assignee will be notified when they begin working on their tasks.

However, when a timing conflict happens, such as a date overlap when setting a dependency, a red line shows up. This means there is a potential conflict that needs fixing first.

Since Timeline in Asana updates in real time, when change comes in, users will see its impact right away.
